You see it in their faces as the grin turns to smile
as Laughter has that edge of Hostile
as Friends to Haters
and your health begins to wane
The Lust takes on a Deadly Stain.
Concussion makes no indent
As life has no value, not to those who lose nothing
for there is nothing they can lose, when there is all to gain.
The whispers turn to screeches and the grunts turn to howls
the wolves are out for blood
and it is for this reason, 
they are Proud

Do you think it’s better to be in a position where you have everything to gain or in a position of having everything to lose?
Unfortunately i do not think the two are mutually exclusive, there is no gain without loss, if you are coming from any standpoint to grow you must let go.
If you have nothing to lose, then there is nothing that you can ever gain, and that would be a fruitless position.
There would be no point fighting your way out of quick sand as the more you fight the deeper you would sink.
As with life, if you are hoping to dig your way out of a particular situation it is best to anchor yourself in something solid, as in acceptance, but with the full knowledge that
to obtain something else you must let go of at least one thing, if not more.
